Knox was blessed by his daddy on May 5th with friends and family there to support us. Funny enough, Knox is one of my most chill babies, hardly ever cries or fusses, but as soon as his blessing began he started wailing. As soon as it was over and he was handed to me, he went straight to sleep.
Funny kid.
After church we had a cinco de mayo party at our house. It was so nice to have everyone over for mexican food and good conversation. When everyone left I notice we had one exhausted partier :)
Ha! This pic always makes me giggle. But check out the blue eyes! Almost 4 months old and he's still BLUE! He's got 4 siblings with dark brown eyes, so this is fun!
So glad we have our sweet Knox.
Well the night of Knox's blessing, Bry and his friend Phil left to go biking in Moab for a few days.
It was lots of fun... until...
He totally crashed and ended up with 3 broken ribs and a separated sternum. Poor guy has been in pain all month. It's gonna be a while til he feels good again. We're just SO glad the Lord took care of him and that after such a bad crash, he wasn't hurt worse. Blessed.
Then, the rest of the month has been filled with birthday parties,
trips to the zoo with our cousins,
meeting our newest cousin Lincoln,
lunch dates with fun people,
dinners at the park,
and endless hours of paperwork to complete, for selling the house, renting a new house, and getting a construction loan. Have mercy!
We're sure going to miss this house of ours. For SOOOOO many reasons. Reason #580, the ice cream truck. With the return of warm weather has come the return of afternoon popsicles from the singing truck. No longer do my kids think the music means they're out of ice cream (what a mean mommy I am to have convinced them of that years ago).
We also will miss Farmington soccer. Another season completed! (just imagine for a second what it takes to accomplish this... me, 5 kids, pushing big stroller, roaming toddler, freezing temps, water bottles, blanket to sit on, folding chairs, snacks, iPad for entertaining... someone give ME a medal).
In other big news, this big girl is going through some big changes. We're almost completely potty trained! Yay! Thanks to Dora pull ups. Never used them with the boys, but it's doing wonders for a lazy mama who wasn't sure she was ready to deal with potty training.
And another big moment for Tessa is she has a Big Girl Bed. Now this doesn't mean she is actually sleeping in her big girl bed. The first night we got it she excitedly slept in it. And then the next day she requested her crib again. And has every night since. I'm not pushing anything. Now when we move, that will change. But for now, she's got her choice.
My happy baby Knox will be the newest recipient of the crib after the move.
He's gonna move from the pack n play to his own crib. Can't you see how excited he is! I've had 5 babies in that crib. And planning on keeping it for grandbabies some day :)
And besides all of this we were able to squeeze in an anniversary trip to Vegas. Just the hubs and I... and baby Knox...who can't be separated from my bosom. (big thanks to my sister April and mother in law Trudy for taking care of the rest of the brood!!!)
We were so happy to spend time sleeping in, eating at fun restaurants, shopping and just being together. After 11 years we still really like hanging out together.
Seeing the Jabbawokeez perform was pretty cool too!

An orange juice toast to another awesome year together! But for now I'm just gonna focus on surviving the next month of craziness. Lots of change and lots of fun!
