Typical Bikinis and Tears

So Sunday's special this week was reviewing/updating us on all the love stories that actually stuck.  We saw Molly and Jason and their new baby girl, a 10 year wedding renewal from ol' Trista and Ryan, prego Deanna Pappas (who actually didn't marry the guy she chose on the Bachelorette, but a twin brother of a Bachelor on a different season... talk about stretching it!), happily married JP and Ashley and the newest success story,  Sean and Catherine.  We saw their wedding prep, engagement pics (what was with the Panda heads?) and the room where they will consummate their marriage (gasp! yes people actually still "wait" these days!  High 5 to those two!!)

Monday night:  Things start off with a date card being brought in by, holy ugly blue shirt, Chris (an attempt on color blocking?)  Cassandra gets the first one on one date.  She's the mommy who looks like a swan, with skinny long everything.  She chooses to show up for her date in a cheerleader high ponytail and awful red 1980's romper.  They zoom off in a freakin' awesome Car/boat thing.  Seriously!  He drove it to the beach and then INTO the water, where the tires came up and it turned into a speed boat!  I want one.  She giggles... a lot.  They meet up with a yacht and then its the typical up close shot of skinny girl in her bikini, let's hold hands and jump off yacht and then a sunset kiss in the water.  Nothin' outta the ordinary.  Afterward they're back at his pad for dinner and some kitchen salsa (the dancing kind) and more up close shots of her bum... do they understand that it's mostly women watching this show?  Then a Bachelor first: they share pictures of their kids.  That kind of bonding earns her a rose... and plenty of kissing.

Group date: Kelly, Renee, Sharleen, Allie, Lauren, Danielle, Christy, Lucy, Nikki and Andi.  I knew this date was coming... the soccer date.  Every girl is ready in their colored spandex.  There's some practicing and then it's time to play a real game... and "it got intense"  After the game they showered up and put on their cocktail clothes (still made of lots of spandex) and then the next game began... who gets the best one on one time with Juan.  Why did Sharleen's kiss make me not like her as much?   Did it have the same effect on you?  Maybe Juan felt the same, because he gave the rose to a girl he didn't kiss.

Next one on one date is for our science teacher Chelsie.  Chelsie awkwardly attempted some car dancing to some Venezuelan music (looked more like a seizure) while they drove to get some Venezuelan food.  It made me hungry. Maybe she shouldn't have eaten so much because it might all be coming right back up as they get ready for tandem bungee jumping.  She's too perky.  Like she's trying too hard to be happy and agreeable.  It was actually nice to see her scared out of her mind on the ledge in her ugly red and white Toms.  It took some convincing, petting, and sweet whispering from Juan, but finally Chels took the plunge.  "I think if we can jump off a bridge together we can do just about anything" says the totally naive, never been married or had kids, girl.  It earned her an upside down kiss.  Once they're all gussied up they have a candlelight dinner at Pasadena city hall.  Despite the romantic setting and death defying bonding event, I just don't see the connection. I really think he gave her that rose out of pity.  The night ended with their own concert and some more awkward dancing.

The next day Juan decides to surprise the girls by sneaking into their house and makes a Venezuelan breakfast.  He wanted to see the girls in the morning, al natural... smart man.  Molly, wait that's her dog's name, Kelly, covers her face and runs out of the kitchen embarrassed (eye roll), but Renee, smart girl, doesn't dodge the opportunity.  She in her mature, cool manner takes her makeup-less moment with grace... as does a few other girls.  After a very yummy looking breakfast (holla to a guy who cooks like that!) Juan cancels the cocktail party and has decided on a pool party instead.  So it's all bikinis and waterproof makeup.  Then the normal kissing and tears go on for like 30 min.  He leaves them with time to get their faces and sparkly spandex on and then it's time for the rose ceremony.  Juan declares it to be the "best day" he's ever had because he got them to go from "pajamas, to bikinis, to dress."  And the roses go to: not as tough as I thought she was Andi, Renee (woot woot), Kelly (who is winning for most annoying), Sharleen (in a surprisingly terrible dress), Elyse, Kat, Allison, Claire (who DID look amazing without makeup that morning), Lauren and Danielle (random girl with a neon green flower in her hair).  Goodbye Christy and Dippy naked Hippy!  I'd sure like to see a one on one with Juan and Renee.  How about you?  Seein' any sparks with a particular girl?
