IT WAS 90 DEGREES!!!...no, not outside in the middle of the day...but inside our house in the middle of the night! You guessed it (or did the picture give it away) our air conditioner has failed us. For weeks it had been making an awful noise, but with me out of town and my husband residing at the hospital, getting it checked had been put on the backburner. Well, it could be put off no longer! The temp in our house gradually got warmer and warmer, until we were all sticky and cranky! A call to the AC guys was made! Unfortunately we had to get thru an awful night of kids sleeping in just their underwear or diapers, fans blasting, windows all wide open, but still around 85-90 degrees, before they could fix it (we needed an "ordered part") But, this morning the wonderful gentlemen from the AC place brought the "speciallly ordered part" and fixed it all and now we're cool and comfortable...and out of $700. sigh. Sadly it's worth it.

Yes, AC is worth every penny. We decided we'd rather pay the outrageous California PG&E bill for a cool apartment than roast and be miserable... ugg can't wait for the fall!
they can get away with charging an arm and a leg because honestly, what are the alternatives? They know we will pay....bummer :<(
